RTOS/TDA2P-ABZ: Adding a decoder in ISSCAPTURE application

Hi All,

I am working on an encoder(intersil isl79987) for capturing data from 4 CVBS Cameras and it outputs data in 2 Lane MIPI . The data is captured from CSI2_1 . As I know currently we do not have any encoder support in 3.05 VSDK. Is it possible to add support in the ISS Capture application?

Please refer to the ISS usecase on TDA2Px, to understand how to configure CSI_1.

Hi Brijesh,

The decoder will output MIPI CSI2 data on 2 lanes in YUV format.

One basic query, how will CAL identify that the data is from 4 cameras coming in two lanes as shown in figure below. The decoder will output YUV422 data

This is supported in the CSI protocol. CSI support multiplexing of input channels, identified by virtual channel.
CAL uses virtual channel to identify and separate them.
