TDA3: Ethernet on Radar SDK 3.06

Hello Experts,

My customer is using Radar SDK 3.04 on TDA3x RVP. They modified code based on this thread and Ethernet is working fine.

Now they migrated Radar SDK from 3.04 to 3.06, Ethernet is not working. My customer is checking their modifications. In the meanwhile, can you please let me know if there is difference regarding Ethernet between Radar SDK 3.04 and 3.06?

Hi KenF,

There is an update to support the 2nd ethernet PHY in the 3.06 release. This has led to an interface change in the NSP.

Could you kindly explain what are the issues the customer is facing?

Hi Piyali,

Here are modifications and result.

[Modifications]

- vision_sdk\apps\configs\tda3xx_rvp_bios_radar\cfg.mk

Change to "FATFS_PROC_TO_USE=none".

- vision_sdk\build\rtos\makerules\rules_m4.mk

Comment out "CFLAGS_INTERNAL += --emit_warnings_as_errors".

- vision_sdk\links_fw\src\rtos\bios_app_common\tda3xx\cfg\NDK_config.cfg

Change to "enableStaticIpEth0=1".

Change to "enableStaticIpEth1=1".

- vision_sdk\links_fw\src\rtos\links_ipu\display_ctrl\displayCtrlLink_drv.c

Comment out "status = Bsp_platformSetPllFreq(&vPllCfg);".

[Result]

Send ping commad but no response.

Hi Ken,

Can you please tell me what were the IP addresses which got printed in the console, and which one did you ping to? Also, please let me know the IP address of the machine from which the ping was done.

It was 192.168.1.200. We did ping to it.

It was 192.168.1.201 (static IP address).

Hi Ken,

In TDA3xx-RVP, I understand that the default interface for Ethernet is interface eth1. As you have mentioned above, since you have enabled static IPs for eth0 and eth1 interfaces, you should be pinging to interface eth1. I believe that the IP 192.168.1.200 corresponds to the interface eth0. A similar IP address should be printed for the second interface. Ideally, it should be 192.168.2.4. Kindly change the static IP of your PC to 192.168.2.x and please try pinging to the IP address of eth1 interface (192.168.2.4).
