Team,
Regarding the OSC16MCAP Alert:
-Could you please provide a picture to show the best positioning of the 2.2uF 6.3V that need to be added at the OSC16MCAP pin?
[EDITED] After double checking the IDK board it does not seem that a capacitor can be added as the TPS659037 package is BGA.
I assume that the OSC16MCAP Alert is just to prevent the user to make the same mistake on his won HW.
I would guess that if the PMIC of the IDK board get damaged at some points then the IDK board will be replaced by TI.
-I have checked just checked theTMDXIDK5728 schematics. A note has been added to warn the user (but the OSC16MCAP portion of the schematics has not yet been changed. I guess it is to keep consistency between the docs and the HW).
Is it plan to have a TMDSIDK5728 version of the IDK?
Thanks,
A.
Hi AnBer,
As you pointed out, this cannot be corrected on the TMDXIDK5728. We have not seen a failure of any of these boards due to this issue as of this date but we wanted to avoid a possible problem for customer units in the field. I can't comment on a replacement policy since, as I said, we haven't seen any returns yet. Any update to the IDK would occur once the current stock is exhausted.
Regards, Bill
