RTOS/TMS320C6678: PHY work bad with 100M switch

Part Number: TMS320C6678

Tool/software: TI-RTOS

Hi,Experts

The original issue is here:

e2e.ti.com/.../739656

And I've reproduced the issue on evm6678 board. See attached file

Notice that you may need to  do global setup work using gel files before running the dsp ndk example code.

Thanks

  • Hi,

I saw that the CCS project used MCSDK 2.1.2.6 which was already obsolete. Are you able to provide a test case using Processor SDK RTOS?

  • Hi, Iding

It's good that with the latest processor sdk I can make it to almost 100% of theriotical speed(100Mbps). I'm surprised that this issue is not found in any bug-fix logs from ndk2.2 to ndk3.40. Anyway, at least it's correct now.

I will be very happy if you guys know how to rebuild ndk2.2 with minor fixes to make it right.

Another issue is that with the latest ndk I can't re-run ndk example without system-reset. If I just reload program and run , it seems the ndk fails to start the stack -- NC_NetStart is unable to trigger NerworkOpen.

Is there any way to workaround the re-entry problem ? For some reason we have to open NDK twice.

    Regards,

  • Hi Striker,

Thanks for your efforts and it's real good to know that the latest Processor SDK RTOS worked very well for the throughput! As both NDK and PRSDK are changed, you may need to look further which caused the improvement.

For the Processor SDK RTOS, you can also use NDK 2.26.00.08 for test.

    >>>Another issue is that with the latest ndk I can't re-run ndk example without system-reset. If I just reload program and run , it seems the ndk fails to start the stack -- NC_NetStart is unable to trigger NerworkOpen.>>>> Please open a new E2E for this topic.
