Hi Champs,

do we have support for programming the eMMC memory device on the IDK?

e.g. UniFlash?

The schematic from IDK base board shows 16 GB EMMC Flash MTFC16GAKAECN. What tool to use for programming?

It appears that you are looking for eMMC programming from a RTOS/bare-metal perspective since you referred to the Processor SDK RTOS. We are currently supporting only OSPI and SD boot on AM65x EVM. Booting for eMMC is planned but not currently enabled as you can see here:

As you may know SD/MMC boot on this device needs FAT formatting of the boot media. We perform this for SD cards using Windows/Linux host tools by plugging in the card to a Host machine. However, for eMMC, we need a FAT formatting tool to run on the target which currently doesn`t exist. For devices like AM572x/DRA7xx device, we have enabled access to eMMC using USB device driver such that the eMMC acts as a mass storage device which you can access from host to then fat format and program boot images into the EMMC.
