AM5728: GP EVM camera module issue

Hi，

I have AM572x Evaluation Module and Camera Module.I cannot detect Camera module.My camera picture is as follows：

I have the same problem with https://e2e.ti.com/support/processors/f/791/t/723412?tisearch=e2e-sitesearch&keymatch=AM572x%20camera

I add fdtfile=am57xx-evm-reva3-cam-mt9t111.dtb in uEnv.txt.The camera module is not detected，like this

root@am57xx-evm:~# ls /dev/video*

/dev/video0 /dev/video10 /dev/video11

then execute -dmesg | grep mt9t

I have browsed many related posts on the e2e forum. there is just recommend to replace the sensor board.I think there are some pin reuse problems？Or a driver problem?Please help me .

I use ti-processor-sdk-linux-am57xx-evm-05.03.00.07 SDK.I have read the following document.

These are Mentioned in the file：

In 2017, the 3MP image sensor used in Revision A1 of the Camera Module was obsoleted. It
was necessary to redesign the Camera Module and the replacement used an automotive grade
1MP image sensor. During the transition period, it was decided to make the Camera Module an
optional item.

I wonder if my sensor board version is too old.I want to know how I view the version of my sensor board？ If I buy a new sensor board on the TI website, can it work normally?

I urgently need to solve this problem.I am very grateful that you can help me.

Hi,

According to the picture you posted your camera board is the old Rev. A1. I have asked the Linux team to comment if this is still supported in the new SDK 5.03. They will post directly here.

Hi,

Can you tell me which version of sdk can use old Rev. A1?I tried the 4.02 version and I have the same problem.

Hello,

This line mt9t11x 4-003c: Product ID error ffffff87 indicates that your sensor board has either gone bad or the sensor has turned loose.
You can try snapping the sensor board tightly to the base board.
Please, try reconnect the camera module and use the screws to fix the camera module.
If you have ov10635 based sensor board, you could try with it.

Hi,

I really appreciate your help.Thank you very much for your kindness.

when I execute dual_camera,I can see two buttons named "capture" and "exit" on the black screen.But we cannot find any camera capture image on the screen.
And I also checked with "ls /dev/video*". I cannot see /dev/video1.
I haved read the threads:e2e.ti.com/.../693913.They resolved by adding the dtb file and a hardware patch.
You can tell me the specific opcode for adding a hardware patch?

If the suggestion there does work.
If you have reason to believe that the Camera Board is not working from the beginning, please work with your supplier (Distributor or our TI Store if you bought the board via our TI Store) to start a RMA process (replacing the defective board).

I really appreciate your help.

It takes too long time to buy a piece of Camera Board .I can not wait anymore. Is there any other way to detect video1? such as changing the hardware driver,or a hardware patch.

"memset(&f, 0, sizeof(f));"is already added.So this hardware patch can't help me..

How to modify some driver code or add some patches to enable me to detect video1.
