TMDX654IDKEVM: MMC1_SDCD connection

Part Number: TMDX654IDKEVM

Hello everyone,

I have seen in your Reference Design for the AM65xx that the MMC1_SDCD is connected directly to the CPU. Also, there is a Pull-Up resistor to the VDSHV_SD_IO. As far as I know, this voltage is switched automatically from 3.3V to 1.8V in the SD protocol. But the datasheet says that Pin B24 has a max. voltage of 2V. I can´t see my mistake, can you help me?

Best regards

Adrian

  • Hi Adrian,

The EVM was designed based on the data available at the time the device was first released. The voltage level associated with the MMC1_SDCD was originally associated with the VDDSHV_SD_IO rail in that documentation. This will be documented as a known issue for the EVM and will be fixed in the next version of the board.

    Regards, Bill
