AM5728: Ethernet ping issue

We are working on a custom board based on am5728. We are using the dual mac Ethernet ports for communication between two boards. In one board we are able to ping from both the ethernet interfaces whereas in the other only eth0 is working.Please find attached txt file containing dtb,mux,configuration,boot log related toUntitled Document 2.doc ethernet.

Hi,

Thank you for the data in the attached document. The only odd thing I see at the moment from the attached document is this:

Speed: 100Mb/s
Duplex: Half

Is there a hub being used to connect the ports? Could you attach a block diagram showing the topology here? Which TI SDK are you using?

Hi,

we are using linux sdk 03.02. We connected two am5728 based custom boards. We connected eth0 of one board to eth1 of other board and eth1 of one board to eth0 of other board. We able to ping on one interface but not the other.

Hi,

I would like to verify the topology that you are connecting the port and how the ports are being assigned the IP addresses. I have set up the diagram based on your post, please fill in the diagram below

board 0 board 1

eth0 (ip address) eth1 (ip address)

eth1 (ip address) eth0 (ip address)

Also please provide the ethtool output for each interface on both boards.
