I have a question regarding the resizing of a 1280x720 image to 344x288.
When we perform the resize the output quality is very poor. Lots of aliasing artifacts around edges and generally a very noisy image. I perform two resizes in the DM368, one to D1/PAL and I use the second output to resize to 344x288. The D1 resize is OK and the image quality is reasonable, but the resize to 322x288 is very poor.
Comparing the resize performance (in quality) to a picture editing app (such as GIMP), we can see that DM36x doesn't perform as well at all.
I've played around with some of the resizer parameters, but have been able to make any improvements.... I've not looked at the coefficients yet - wonder whether it is worth investigating these?
