66AK2G12: 66AK2G Arm interrupt issue

Part Number: 66AK2G12

Hi Rahul ,

This is a continuation of the following link's question:

https://e2e.ti.com/support/processors/f/791/t/814499

Victor,

Do you have any updates to share on this issue. We still have not got anything conclusive from our GIC expert on the design team regarding this issue.

I will ping them again early next week and try to get see if I can provide further guidance

Do you have got any guidance from GIC expert?

Regards

Victor

  • Victor,

The guidance from GIC expert on our driver development team for custom driver developers is to follow the GIC setup used in the TI UART driver. Many of our customers developing with our drivers have successfully used multiple UARTs from the A15.

    Rahul

  • Rahul,

I can use multiple UARTs in ARM also, the problem is happened when I direct connect two or three Uarts to GIC, if I route one of the Uart interrupt through CIC to GIC,  everything works fine.

Anyway, thanks again for your reply.

    Victor

  • Victor,

thanks for confirming that the multiple interrupts are working with CIC connection to GIC. Is this a workable solution that can use in the application or you still prefer to connect the UART interrupts to GIC. Are you seeing higher interrupt latency through CIC connection to GIC ?

    Regards,

    Rahul
