PROCESSOR-SDK-AM65X: Issue with Linux installer for RTOS

Hi Ahmad,

Checking the release notes, I see that AM65x PSDK RTOS v6.01 supports up to Ubuntu 16.04 64-bit.

I have Ubuntu 16.04 64-bit on my side, and I am able to install AM65x PSDK RTOS v6.01 successful.

Ubuntu 16.04 is nearly 4 years old and has been End-Of-Life since April.

It's been over a year since it was mentioned that Ubuntu 18.04 was supported in the "next release"

You have pointed to thread which discuss Linux SDK. Ubuntu 18.04 is now supported for Linux SDK, but not for RTOS SDK.

What I can suggest you is to try the workarounds provided in the e2e threads I have shared in my previous post.

You can also try to install this RTOS package on Ubuntu 16.04, thus you will check if the issue is with the version of Ubuntu or missing/wrong package in your host machine, issue related to both Ubuntu16/18. As this issue is reported also for Ubuntu 16.04:

Yes it looks like I do have the same issue on a fresh install for Ubuntu 16.04
