Hi,

I am using an AM5718 custom board.

I want to boot spl through USB storage.

I want to use a USB storage device instead of a DFU.

Can you tell me how to fix it?

Hi Sunmin,

AM571x supports USB boot only in Device mode (i.e. from a Host PC), not via USB storage devices (a.k.a. "mass storage"). So you will need to use one of the other available boot modes.

Sunmin,

we only support USB DFU via Linux host officially. There's also a training here on this topic if you like to see more information: https://training.ti.com/am57x-dra7x-dfu-boot-mode-with-linux-host

A couple of additional ideas:

You could always use a virtual machine (such as VirtualBox or something from VMware) running Linux inside Windows 10 to run the DFU utility
A quick google search showed there are actually Windows builds of the DFU utility available on the project's home page, and there are people out there using this successfully (your mileage may vary, just providing this a starting point here) http://dfu-util.sourceforge.net/releases/
