Hi Team,

My customer needs a Flash data retention specs for our device TMS320C6748EZCED4, do we have this information for TMS320C6748?

I run through the datasheet and TRM I can't find any information on this matter. However running through TMS320F2801 datasheet the page 59 (Link: http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/tms320f2801.pdf) flash data retention specs is present at Table 5-41.

Can we provide a datasheet/letter supporting the data retention spec for TMS320C6748?

Hi Renan,

Our DSPs do not have on-chip flash memory like the C2000 devices do. You should refer to the flash memory manufacturer's datasheet for this information.

Adding to my previous reply,

The C6748 supports two different kinds of external flash types, NOR (serial and parallel) and NAND. The data retention information for these external flash types is quite different. You can refer to the reliability section in article below:

In either case, the customer should contact the flash manufacturer for the retention spec.
