AM4378: Memory partitions and upgrade

Hello Team TI,

We have few requirements where we need partitions and a method to upgrade firmware/software. Please find the description below:

Right now default partition table has single rootfs and zImage partitions. What we need is to add backup partitions for them.
Is there a method/framework/utility to upgrade them available? Here the expectations are we will have binaries for zImage/rootfs, we will flash them in the alternate partition. After reboot uboot should take care of booting using new images.
If Yes, can you please share that?

This feature should be achievable with the components provided with the SDK, but we don't have an example or utilities specifically for this. The U-Boot environment should enable the partition switching, and creating and populating the new partitions should be relatively straight forward.

Hello,

Can you please share the steps we can follow to update zImage and rootfs from linux?

Also can you please share the information about which images from the deploy we can use to achieve this.

It will be helpful to write a script which will take of upgrading specific partitions.

I'm sorry, we haven't been through this process and validated it and can't provide the steps. I recommend doing some experimentation and trying a few different processes to see which works best for your development.
