Hi,

We have another camera with ISX019 sensor and GMSL1 SerDes. Out put fromat from the camera, as per the Manufacturer specification is YUV422 YCbCr.

TDAV4 is receiving the frames but when we look at the individual components of Y, U and V, Y is blank, Attached the corresponding png files.

Are there any restrictions on SoC side for YUV422 YCbCr format ? Do you have any suggestions on possible causes for this ?

Hello Mahipal,

Visteon has been able to get YUV422 capture through IMX390 based sensor, so we can safely say that there is no SoC restriction. Can you please provide the original YUV frame as received (without PNG conversion)? Please let us know the width, height and bit-depth.

Hi Mayank,

PLease find attached teh details, we are configuring the driver and application with 1280*960 resolution. In IMX390 we didn't see the specification as YCbCr, it was mentioned as YUV422 8 Bit. That's why we need to know if the YCbCr in specific is making any difference. Attached all the YUV and png files.

From data capture perspective YCbCr is same as YUV422. Can you use the same settings as IMX390 and share the captured YUV images?

Another comment ... Looking at frame_0000.u.png, it seemsthat there are 2 issues

1. The data you are getting is monochrome i.e. U and V are all zeros. Y pixels are correct.

2. The order of Luma and Chroma is swapped.

Please check with camera vendor if the data is expected to be monochrome.
