CCS/TMS320C6748: What may be the hardware bug which indicate this console information?

Part Number: TMS320C6748

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Some times the program can download and run normally into the chip in CCS. But sometimes, the following print out in the console:

The "PSC1" time out.

After I download the program into the eMMC, somes time the program cannot boot.

But if the progam boot successfully, the program can run normally for 24 hours or for ever.

What may induce this phenonmen?

Hello,

Is this on a TI LCDK or custom board?

Please ensure you are powering the board using the barrel connector and not through the mini-USB port.

There was a similar issue that was resolved in this thread. Can you see if it applies here as well?

It's a custom board.

And there are tens of boards. Most of them work normally. Some of them have the phenonmen.

Maybe the DSP chip is not weld well?

A manufacturing defect/hardware issue seems likely given that this issue is seen on only some of them.

It would be good to check the power supply, clocks, JTAG circuitry. There was a thread with a similar issue that was resolved here: https://e2e.ti.com/support/processors/f/791/t/372153
