TDA2PXEVM: Issue in reading four different video inputs from NullSrc Link using 4 different channels

Hello all,

I am currently working on TDA2PXEVM linux platform. My usecase is as per below,

NullSource (A15) -> Decode -> VPE -> Sync (A15) -> ALG_A -> Display_M4 (IPU1_0)

In the above usecase I am reading four different videos using NullSource link. I have modified the link to read 4 input using 4 different channel. But the problem is when I passes same video for four channel it is working fine and has the ouput over display for each of four video. But as soon as I have passed four different videos the output is not coming correctly and shows the black screen.

I have tried to give the input in the combination of two and three with one video repeated, so these combination is working fine. I am not able to trace where the problem is occurring for four different videos.

Please note that I am starting the new thread for the same question as previous one is locked.

I have tried putting prints under DecLink_codecProcessData() function of Dec Link but due to this frame drop is occuring. I have also tried some other approaches as well but in each case I am getting a black screen.

I am sharing the image with this of the latest observation as due to lockdown of COVID-19 from remote PC.

As you see after one or two prints no more prints are there and also black screen is getting displayed.

Can anyone provide the inputs regarding the same so as to solve the issue.

Hi,

Can you try with 2 channels? with below configuration

->Give same input files for both channels

->Give different input for both channels

->Give different input for both channels & make it filename is same for both channels.

Actually I have tried the mentioned combination by you in this 4 channels already, by giving same input to all 4 channels,by giving in the set of two,in the set of three. It was working fine. One more thing I need to add in here that now I am facing a frame drop issue in NullSrc Link itself. I am sharing the screenshot as well with this.

Why this frame drop is occurring??

Also I will try with 2 channel also as mentioned by you. Please note that my plugin is running on DSP1. I have put it under vision_sdk/src/rtos/alg_plugin/ directory.

I have tried for 2 channel and it is working for single cycle. I am facing memory issues in 2nd cycle.

Can you please provide your inputs as this task is need to be completed urgently. Sharing the log of memory error.

You are not getting any error for 4 channel configuration but for 2 channel you seeing this error, so what changes you have done?

please make sure have you done proper configuration.

This issue is for 4 channel also. Changes done for 4 channels have been modified for 2 channel only. Why this XDC_ASSERT is coming?

I am saying that the pipeline works fine for 1st cycle only. From 2nd cycle onward XDC_ASSERT is coming.

Issue of XDC_ASSERT has been resolved. Usecase is working fine for 2 channels. But when I made changes of 4 channel in the usecase frames are dropping at the NullSrc Link itself.

Usecase is working fine for 3 channels as well . But I am not getting why frame drops are occurring when I made the usecase of 4 channels?

Hi,

Can you share the logs in a text file with statistics

-> for 3 channel

-> for 4 channel

What is resolution is set in use-case for all channels? If possible share the use-case source file

Yesterday 4 channel issue had been solved. While setting the parameters for NullSrc Link in Usecase I found out that may be timing would be the reason for frame drop in case of 4 different video input, so I changed pPrm->timerPeriodMilliSecs to 48 from 32 and it worked out.

But due to above change my FPS also got affected. It came down to 20 FPS from 30 FPS. Is there any way I can fix this.
