Hi experts,
I want to know if the output of the DSS_DATAX can swap.
My customer designed an LCD-circuit of AM4378, but the HW design was incorrect.
That's why they want to fix it by swapping the DSS_DATAX in software.
Can the A4378 swap the output of the DSS_DATAX ?
They are using the latest Processor SDK RTOS.
Best regards,
Sasaki

Hi,
I consulted internally on this, and the consensus is it should be possible to swap the data lines.
For AM437x, the DSS is supported in Starterware. For changing the organization of the data lines, I suggest changing the pin mux configuration. Please see the Starterware pin mux file in <PDK>/packages/ti/starterware/board/am43xx/am43xx_pinmux.h.

Frank
Hi Frank-san,
Thank you for your reply.
I checked <PDK>/packages/ti/starterware/board/am43xx/am43xx_pinmux.h.
I tried to modify this file using the Pinmux tool, but the DSS Pinmux could not change it.
For example, if I try to change Pinmux in DSS_DATA5, there is no configurable configuration that can be changed.
https://dev.ti.com/sysconfig/?fromPinmux=true#/start
Could you tell me how to change the pin mux configuration?
Best regards,
Sasaki
Hi Sasaki,
I confirmed your findings by:
So it appears the consensus I mentioned above was incorrect.
I don't have any other ready solutions for the customer hardware mix up. Perhaps the driver could be modified to handle this situation. However, it would be up to the customer to make the modifications since in general TI doesn't support driver modifications.
