TDA4VM: CAN on Linux on PSDKLA7.0

Part Number: TDA4VM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRA829V,

Now we have some DRA829V/J721EX boards and ti-processor-sdk-linux-automotive-j7-evm-07_00_01 sdk.

1. according to post “TDA4VM: How can I use CAN on Linux”, is this patch applicable to ti-processor-SDK-Linux-automotive-j7-EVM-07 _ 00 _ 01sdk?

2. After patch according to 1, CAN I use CAN communication on A72 core? (The recommendation in the post is to perform CAN communication on the R5F core)。

The patch is on SDK 6.02 but can you please try the same on SDK 7.0. It should work as it is only device tree changes.

We recommend using CAN on R5F cores. But yes, with the patch it will work on A72 running Linux. The FAQ https://e2e.ti.com/support/processors/f/791/t/922168 has steps on how to test too.
