AMIC110: System Development without EEPROM

Part Number: AMIC110

Hello team,

Our customer plans to develop EtherCAT Slave board with AMIC1x0. They are checking our EVM and they are asking if they are able to develop their system without EEPROM implementation. According to AMIC110 ICE User’s guide(https://www.ti.com/lit/ug/spruie6a/spruie6a.pdf), Board ID, AMIC’s ICE version and serial number, which are stored in the onboard EEPROM. However, due to cost reduction, customer would like to remove this EEPROM implementation. Would you think it is possible to remove it ?

If so, how customer should develop it without EEPROM. Could you elaborate it, please ? it will be appreciated if your will be able to share helpful information /your comments on this.

I believe customer will use Linux SDK base.

Best regards,

Miyazaki
