AM5728: Encrypt app file

Hello,

We want to store our "app" file in encrypted format (to prevent reverse engineering),

in the SBL (MLO) this file should be decrypted and loaded.

is there an easy/standard/implemented way to do it, or we need to implement it ourselves?

Sergei,

This is supported directly on the AM5748 product (https://www.ti.com/product/AM5748 ), which offers standard secure boot (the AM5728 does not), as outlined in https://www.ti.com/lit/pdf/spry305.

The AM5748 is very close to the AM5728 device architecture and features.

Sergei,

You could use an external TPM device. e.g. as referenced in https://e2e.ti.com/support/processors/f/791/t/915838

We don't have a specific product recommendation there. Typically these would connect over SPI.
