Hi,
I need a hardware based MPEG-2 encoder and my target processor is DM8168.
in the DM816X TRM document at this link: www.ti.com/.../sprugx8 (doc Rev. C - Mar. 19, 2015) and at the page 133 its explained that HDVICP2 subsystem supports MPEG-2 SP/MP Encode/Decode.
but in this link: processors.wiki.ti.com/.../HDVICP2_Video_Codecs you don't mention to any MPEG2 Encoder and its capabilities.
in some presentation data by ti, you mentioned that MPEG-2 encoder was only support by 3rd party Ittiam Systems
I'm confused about the Ti's documentation. Does the documentation contain incorrect/Inconsistent information about the MPEG-2 encoder?
