PROCESSOR-SDK-AM335X: Could AM3352 support EtherCAT slave function?

You found App Note Industrial Communication Protocols on Sitara Processors in your other thread. According to that app note, TI supports EtherCAT slave through the PRU-ICSS when the ARM core is running RTOS. AM3352 does NOT have a PRU-ICSS, so you would need to select an AM335x part that does have PRU-ICSS.

Hello Daniel,

Let me clarify my response above: EtherCAT MASTER is available through both PRU-ICSS and CPSW interfaces. So you would be able to run EtherCAT master on AM3352. I think that EtherCAT slave is only available through PRU-ICSS. However, I am reassigning this to another engineer to verify whether that is true.
