Data transfer between FPGA and OMAP-L138 via Universal Parallel Port (uPP)

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OMAPL138, OMAP-L138

Hello

I am working on OMAPL138EVM board and my primary requirement is i want to transfer data between FPGA and OMAPL138 using Universal parallel Port

Did anyone transfer data from FPGA to OMAP-L138 EVM via uPP ? The omap-l138 (http://www.ti.com/product/omap-l138) has a Universal Parallel Port (uPP) which offers a high-speed parallel data bus with several important features.

If yes then please provide me the driver functionality

Thanks in advance

Regards

Shubham

  • Hi Shumbham

There is no uPP driver on OMAPL138 , unfortunately this is a gap in our software offering but there is no plan to address it.

I would recommend that if you developing a new product and the uPP to FPGA attach is important, I would recommend buying the board and BSP from one of our 3P - Critical Link

They have support for uPP talking to an FPGA etc.

  • Hello

    thank you for the response

Actually I want to communicate with FPGA which having UPP so is it posiible to communicate with UPP(From OMAPL138 side) to UPP(FPGA side)

will ti be able to provide the support for the same?

I just want some information about how to communicate UPP to UPP?

    Thanks in advance

  • Hello Shubham

Unfortunately we do not have any support for this in terms of any hardware, software or TI design reference.

If you are looking for support, I recommend purchasing a Critical Link Board and get the required software/support leveraging that board.
