SoCs and eval boards that support Android Automotive

Hi,

I came across spraco0.pdf that goes over enabling Android Automotive on a TI development board and wanted to know the list of SoCs and Development/Eval boards that support Android Automotive. Please help in getting touch with a TI representative that can help me with choosing such a platform.

Vinayak,

It was part of early evaluation of enabling Android automotive flavor . The intent of the exercise to the check the device capability and upstream the necessary fixes to AOSP as a valid target for AOSP development purposes.

The Android automotive ( Auto HMI and the build configuration changes) are all in AOSP now. Beagleboard X15 (AM57x is the AOSP supported platform). Same changes will scale to other HMI based Jacinto and Sitara devices too.

Hi Praneeth,

Can you suggest any BeagleBone(s) that are supported, which can be used for quick prototyping for Android Automotive OS?

Beaglebone is based on AM335x and is not something we prototyped (need not be ideal for such usecase w.r.t performance needed)

If you see the sprac0 application note , it has been prototyped on AM57x Beagleboard X15 for AOSP.

I did see one device using AM57X -> . Just wanted to know if there is an exhaustive list for available hobby or evaluation boards that would be supported and can help in quick prototyping?

beagle platform support is thru community , please check and follow up on the defined support model there.

bbai does have the similarities that is needed for android , but this is not something we experimented yet. Please check with beagleboard.org for such support.
