TDA4VM: Display test app Set VP parameters IOCTL failed

It is so difficult to locate errors with CCS，

my pdk version is ti-processor-sdk-rtos-j721e-evm-07_01_00_11

Could you please share your changes in this application? 

The default example works fine on EVM. So most likely some changes are failing.

hpdSuppored flag set to false ,it does not work if I set the flags to true,

The HPD pin is always set to high on the hardware，

The error log show Set VP parameters IOCTL failed，but i didn't change the code .

I tried this example on EVM by enabling/setting macro DISP_APP_TEST_EDP to 1. it works fine on the EVM. 

So i was asking if you have made any other changes in the example? 

Also are you trying it on EVM?

Yes ， I have set DISP_APP_TEST_EDP  to 1， On EVM it works fine，but cant display on my customer board

Hello Jie Xu,

It looks like you have CCS and JTAG to connect to your board. Could you please let us know exactly which API inside Set VP Params is failing? You could put breakpoint on Dss_dctrlDrvSetVpParamsIoctl API and see where it fails.

I check my log ， when I set hpdSupported flag set to Ture, 

 Set VP parameters IOCTL failed disappeared， but also dont  display ,  

In addition, I also used the patch file you provided before。

but it  also cant display ,can you tell me which version of PDK is this patch for？

Hi Jie xu,

This patch is generated on top of SDK7.0.

Are you using SDK7.1 or later release?  Then this patch might not apply cleanly. 

Also is your hpd issue, setVP Params issue resolved?

The HPD problem is resolved. We set HPD pin via pinmux setting (different from what used in EVM), however, the HPD pin setting is overrided by hardcode register modification. 

we use SDK7.0.

Now, we are working on a camera (with embedded ISP and output YUV422 image format), we can not display image on screen. we will try your patches. By the way, do you have similar patch that work with single_camera example?
