How to configure and use UART1

Hello,

I've been working with the AM437 Industrial Developemnt Kit for a few days now. I already have experience with other microcontrollers in C (Microchip pic), but I am new to TI-RTOS and the Sitara controller family.

My current task is to implement / write a modbus library. To do this, I first want to get the UART1 working. I have searched the internet for examples. But I have not found any step by step instructions to enable UART1 on the AM437x.

Does anyone here have an example of how to use UART1 in the AM437x? Could someone with experience guide / help me?
