HI,
There will be multiple afe7950 devices on board. If every RF output signal should be syncronized, refclk, sysref, syncb_out and syncb_in signals should be matched in length? Or the length matching of syncb_out and syncb_in is not required?
When I use two lanes as a link, the length of two lane signals should be matched?
Regards,
Hi Yoonsun,
Yes, if multiple AFEs are being synchronized the refclk and sysref need to length matched. The sync signals do not need to be length matched because the AFE7950 supports JESD204 subclass 1 multi-device synchronization, which uses sysref to achieve deterministic latency.
The two data lanes do not need to be length matched, but we recommend that they be close in length.
