Hello

can you clarify what state the device is in when powered use the CE pin. Does it retain the previous register settings or does it need re-programming?

Thanks for the info. I am investigating whether the device could be power cycled in real time, so what is the latency from enabling the device to it being operational. Can the DC offset compensation been done periodically or does it happen every time the device is powered?

Note that in this application the LO is external.

Hi Ken,

For external LO mode the powerup time will be <1msec. So it should be operational within this time.

DC offset calibration is user initiated. After power up, DC offset correction can be initiated thru register programming.

Sorry but I have one other question.. (I'm looking at options at the moment)

If I were to use the PLL to say provide an up conversion LO for the transmitter chain, is there a configuration where the rest of the device can be powered off?

I think there is the ability to power off the LNA and signal path but does than mean only the PLL is now powered?

Hi Ken,

If you only use the PLL in anytime, you should use LMX2594. The synthesizer inside LMX8410 is actually LMX2594.

If you will use the LNA or other blocks of LMX8410, we can disable them with hidden registers.
