Hi TI,

our cusomer is asking one radar ,the need is The product shall be suitable for mounting on a range of (near) vertical metal lamp posts
at a nominal height of 6m. +0/- 1m. Constrained by anticipated radar achievable beamwidths.
Mounting posts will be nominally 1.5m from the road edge and a maximum of 2m from the
road edge. The total width coverage requirement shall be 12m, As a minimum the optical and radar coverage shall be 12m width x {range of 20 to 120m },which includes the road and pavements (sidewalks).

could you remmand one radar soution as the aboce description,?

Hi Pei,

Thanks for your question. TI's mmWave Radar portfolio includes devices in both the 76-81GHz and 60GHz frequency bands. The customer is required to check the regulations in their target region for which band(s) are allowed for their application.

You can get an overview of TI's Industrial mmWave portfolio at http://www.ti.com/IWR.

In general, the 60GHz band, also known as the ISM band is open for People and Traffic Monitoring applications in various regions across the world so I would recommend you to look at TI's IWR6843 single-chip mmWave Sensor.

I would also recommend you to check-out the mmWave Industrial Toolbox, which provides demos with full source code for various target applications such as Traffic Monitoring, People Counting and Robotics to name a few.
