IWR6843AOP: Reduce power consumption

Can you clarify if power consumed is for the entire board or being measured for just the device?

Also what kind of software is being run on the IWR6843 device?

Lastly what is your power target? Is there an amount of savings that is desired?

Thanks for the reply.We want to know what would be the approximate power consumed of a single ISK with long range standard bin file running on it and a single AOP with area scanner standard bin file running on it?

According to our understanding the production version consumes less energy than the development version. Is it right?

We do not gave specfic amount that we want to save. But it is nice to know if we can lower the power consumption because according to the document we understood that if each sensor consumes approximately 500 mA and we need 4 sensors to be running with the Rasberry-Pi which is capable of giving 1200 mA aggregately with all the USB ports.we connected an external power supply. Also with longer USB cables there is a problem somehow. We are trying to figure that out step by step as in where is the problem.

The Datsheet on the mistral website: Industrial mmWave RADAR | Mistral: IWR6843AoP 60GHz RADAR Module (mistralsolutions.com) and so I wanted to know there is a difference in the power consumption of production version and development version.

I did try to Implement the Idle mode commands like in Low-power example on area scanner. I have a few doubts

1. If the sensor is hardcoded with cfg and running and consuming the same amount of power as soon as I turn it on. Is there way to reduce the power consumption of the device while it is running without compromising with the range or performance? I do not think this command is helping me in that. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

2. I have already tried reducing the idle time on the cfg file and also the txOutPower reduced by 6 db.

3. I tried to run the bin file of the low power demo and I do not see an output or anything happening on the visualizer it just felt like the sensor is not giving out any data. Did I understand something wrong?

I can send you the exact cfg file I'm using on the sensor if it helps you to understand. I would wait to hear from you.
