IWR1843BOOST: IWR1843BOOST

Part Number: IWR1843BOOST

Hi,

pressed the wrong button, meant to REPLY!  One last question on this then I will close the thread - promise!

I suspect the answer may be either that this is too deep to discuss here, or that on the lines of that's what the SDK means by "only s/w trigger supported"...

trying to use h/w trigger, things do happen (as seen in output) but, even though it seems to say everything has completed just as it does for s/w trigger, trying to do another run leads to the response:

Status: Failed, Error Type: API IS ISSUED WHEN FRAMES ARE ONGOING

Is there anything I can send API wise to recover from this, other that a complete hard restart of everything (STOP FRAME doesn't seem to do it)?  Or is it that I need to send multiple triggers (per frame?) rather than just once to start things off?

many thanks

Alan

  • Hello,

Like I said in the other post this seems like a timing based issue and usually when synchronization doesn't happen the device needs a hard reset. As I mentioned in the previous thread the Interface Control Document located in the DFP download is the collateral that we provide that will enable you to use the HW trigger, but it is not a step by step guide.

    Best regards,

    Connor Desmond

  • Hi Connor,

OK thanks - this is the sort of thing that happens when someone comes along with an idea which doesn't necessarily use a device in the way it might have originally  been intended to!

    thanks
