Thank you for your reply, but I tried re-flashing the card and no improvement. I check the current is passing very low. please help! I am attaching the picture of current reading.

Can't see the image. Please insert it on thread. Did you try powering only TDA board and see if its console on serial port is accessible?

You can try multiple things:

1. Try changing the SD card.

2. Try to measure voltage output at different points. Like Switcher controller output, or various LDO outputs...

You can follow this power network. and cross reference in schematic(for example 3.3V - TP35,38 and 5V - TP41, 42 and 1.8V - TP97, etc)

We did the voltage test and I identified the test points with a number(Red Color) in the above Image. We tested with 12 V 5 A power supply.

here the list of test points(point no.) and the voltage output. According to power supply diagram and cross referenced with HOST BOARD Schematic.

1. TP26 = 0 V
2. TP24 = 1.0 V
3. TP62= 3.2 V
4. TP64= 1.8 V
5. TP68= 3.1 V
6. TP74= 0.4 V
7. TP72= 1.3 V
8. TP35 = 3.3 V
9. TP41= 5.0 V
10. TP13= 1.35 V
11. TP15,17= 0.68 V
12. FPGA2/3 VCCAUX 2.5V Supply= 2.5 V
13. FPGA2/3 VCC 1.2V Supply = 1.2 V

Hi,

           I wont be able to make out anything with this set of details. Would request you to use Assembly file to identiy the TP and then measure respective voltages on it.

       Can you double check for the TP's in bullet point from 1 to 7? As per description the values are not matching to what you are measuring.

Voltages on below look all OK.

1. TP35 = 3.3 V
2. TP41= 5.0 V
3. TP13= 1.35 V
4. TP15,17= 0.68 V
5. FPGA2/3 VCCAUX 2.5V Supply= 2.5 V
6. FPGA2/3 VCC 1.2V Supply = 1.2 V

Hi, can you tell which software can be used to see the exact test points in pcb design files. Or if you have that, can you please mark them on the pcb. It's too confusing to choose exact test points.

From which if you generate the Assembly file/or in the layout(Altium)/Gerber(Any gerber viewer like gerbtool) you can check for the location of the TP's.

We got the output for the remaining test points, thanks for helping to find them. Please have a look and help further.

TP26 = 0 V

TP24 = 1.0 V

TP62 = 1.8 V

TP64 = 2.1 V

TP68 = 3.3 V

TP74 = 1.8 V

TP72 = 1.05V

     TP26 should read as 2.5V being connected to output of LDO U16. Can you check on Input(C156) and output(C157) of LDO also?

The voltage output for those points are:

C156 = 3.3V

C157 = 0
We did report this in our very first test. Can you explain how it relates with broken serial interface.

There are a couple of concerning TP measurements.

the first one TP74 measuring 0.4V. It should be 1.8V and that is what powers the PLLs of the SoC..

next is the recent C157, that output should be turned on when SYSTEM_1V8 is high. Can you check TP93, that is the SYSTEM_1V8 which powers a lot of the IO domains of the SoC as well? if that is dead then that can explain why there is no life.  

Please probe the voltage on these red circled TP in the picture. If they are at or close to 0V, either the PMIC might have an issue or something is shorted possibly.

TP74 is showing 1.8V, I checked 2-3 times today. I will apply other tests which you mentioned and get back to you. Thanks.

TP95 = 3.24 V

TP91 = 1.06 V

TP93 = 0.29 V

TP88 = 1.15V

TP80 = 1.06V

TP86 = 1.06V

Please have a look on the outputs. I have added for the points you asked to do. Any updates?

Seeing that TP93 is not 1.8V, this leads me to believe there is a PMIC malfunction or maybe a bad component on the EVM for that power rail. 

Was this EVM purchased through TI.com or a distributor? 

We bought it from mouser electronics

                 Sincere thanks for sharing all the TP's measurements as requested. From all the measurements, it appears there is some component(PMIC section) which has been damaged while usage. I would recommend to order a new one to continue your design and development work. Please understand debug/rework will really not be possible for us to support remotely. Thanks again.

Why there is no warranty case. It's pretty costly and we only followed the recommended way to use it, and did not do anything unusual with the board. why not replacement like I have seen few cases in forum has been asked to replace but you are saying to order a new one.
