TMCS1101-Q1: TMCS1107-Q1 and TMCS1101-Q1 radiation tolerance

Part Number: TMCS1101-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: INA901-SP

Hello everybody,
I want to use these devices in a radiation environment system (Low Earth Orbit Satellite).
Did you perform any radiation test or have any knowledge about radiation sensitivity of this devices, such as electron, proton, heavy Ion? (total dose and events)
If not, do you have performed a device failure analysis, to help mitigate the consequence of radiations?
I have no knowledge of any similar Hall Sensor IC with space qualifications, any possibility of using it in a radiation environment could be a great achievement.
Please let me know, thanks.

  • Antonio,

    Thanks for using E2E!

Unfortunately we have not done any radiation testing (SEE, SEL, etc.) to date on the TMCS110x family, nor do we have any reliability data for these devices in radiation based environments. Only parts designated as -SEP or -SP will have radiation test data. For space grade current sensing, our offerings are shunt based, and are the INA240-SEP and INA901-SP.
