TDC1000: TDC1000 COMPIN?

Part Number: TDC1000

At present, the echo of tdc1000 will have a strange waveform after compin high level. This waveform has the probability to generate stop signal. How is it generated and whether there is a way to remove it (I also have this waveform without connecting the transducer) are as follows:

  • Hello Kevin,

Have they checked the Rx signal to see if this waveform is present in that signal? I am trying to figure if the waveform is noise that is being picked in the measurement or noise generated by the device.

Is the noise present at COMPIN/LNAOUT consistent (meaning always occurs at the same time)? If this is consistent my thought is that perhaps the LNA_CTRL, TOF_TIME_CTRL, AUTOZERO_PERIOD, and SHRT_TOF_BLNK_PRD internal digital triggers could be coupling onto your receive path internally. I would try to see if changing any of these values are changing the behavior of the signal.

Lastly perhaps the filters could be adjusted to make sure the false signal does not meet the threshold requirements to trigger a stop signal.

    Best,

    Isaac
