We have a custom IWR6843AOP board based off the IWR6843AOPEVM (see attached the relevant sections of the schematic). The PMIC and Flash are the same as the EVM. The Crystal used is different. We are using ABM10W-40.0000MHZ-8-B1U-T3 (https://www.mouser.ca/datasheet/2/3/ABM10W-1774948.pdf), which does fall within the tolerance stated in the IWR6843AOP datasheet.
The NERROR_OUT is being asserted on powerup for both flashing and normal modes. We are currently unable to flash the IWR6843AOP. Any suggestions on isolating the cause of the NERROR_OUT?
Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to Texas Instruments. I am going to review your hardware schematics and get back to you in 48 hours. Maybe even loop in senior engineers who have worked extensively on 6843AOPs before.
In the meantime, could you help me understand the following:
1. What is the error you get when you try to flash it?
2. Are you able to atleast connect to the XDS ports?
3. Do you know if the Crystal is sending the clock output?
Best,
-Shareef
We were actually able to solve the issue. There were some conflicts with SOM internal pullups and pulldowns. Disabling that allowed things to work.
