is the LM77 the best solution here? please help provide the best solution here and provide some comparision material for the RD to review.

the TMP1075 looks to be a drop in replacement for that competitive device and is listed as such on the cross reference tool

This means the TMP75 and the LM75 are also options to look at, too.
