I followed a couple of threads discussing this such as https://e2e.ti.com/support/sensors-group/sensors/f/sensors-forum/1039687/mmwaveicboost-mmwave-studio-calling_connecttarget-returned-3-error
When it comes to the sync_in pulse for hardware trigger, particularly as seen in the image below, how do I determine the pulse width of the sync_in signal? Is it variable? I see that the image below says it should be less than the ON time of the frame. Is that supposed to be the periodicity of the frame or just the time the frame is chirping, excluding inter-frame blank time?
I understand that the programmed frame periodicity can't be greater than the sync_in pulse periodicity. Just sort if confused about the width of the pulse itself
Hello Adegbenro,
It is the periodicity of the frame that need to be taken into consideration. Minimum width of the pulse of the Sync_in pin should be >= 25ns. The periodicity of the external SYNC_IN pulse should be always greater than the programmed frame periodic in the frame configurations in all instances.
Below is another example of valid Sync_in pulse.
Thanks and regards,
