My customer is using the TMCS1100-Q1 and wanted to know how much current the chip draws when in use?

    Renan,

    the short answer is depends on the requested load current of their load. The total current draw of the device would be the quiescent current of the device (overhead current simply to run the device with no load) + the requested load current. The customer should keep in mind that the output stage will have swing limitations based on the requested load current as given in figure 7-12 of the datasheet:
