TMCS1107: Question about continuous current.

Hi

I'm going to use TMCS1107A1B.
In the table below, the linear measurement current at Vs=5V is 46A.


If so, can a continuous current(max) of 46A be allowed?
If not, what is the acceptable value of continuous current(max)?

    The part is capable of measuring this amperage, but not continuously. For continuous current capabilities, please see figure 8-5 in the datasheet:

    The continuous current is dependent on ambient temperature, and is maximized at 30A. While the part can linearly measure up to 46A, this would need to be duty cycled following the curves published in figures 8-6 through 8-9.

    The linear measurement current of TMCS1107A4B is 5.75A.

    Does that mean that the continuous current can be used up to 30A, but the linear measured current is 5.75A, so it can only be used up to 5.75A in practice?

    This is correct. With a sensitivity of 400mV/A, at 5.75A, the created output is +/- 2.3V, which when taking the quiescent point into account shows the device would output 200mV or 4.8V on either end of measurement. However, the device is capable of surviving the currents present in the continuous curve, the device would simply be outside the defined range for small deviations, or slammed against the rail if the measurement is outside the swing criteria:
