Am planning to use AWR1483AOP for Obstacle detection. Can the EVK (https://www.ti.com/tool/TIDEP-01024) suggested by TI has the algorithm which can detect the obstacle without any modifications in the firmware side ? and same Firmware can be used for production as well ?

Hi,

The software provided for TIDEP-01024 is for demonstration purpose. It is not intended to be used for production.

The demo software should be used as a starting point for the production software.

Hi,

(1) Does the EVK detect the obstacle with good accuracy ?

(2) Can I use the SDK for the demo purpose which has good accuracy ?

Hi,

There are some limitations on angular accuracy. This is related to the antenna of the sensor not the software. The angular accuracy is around 10 degrees. It increases for angles larger than 60 degrees.
