Hi team,
Here's an issue from the customer may need your help:
The customer has tested the ADC Sampole rate and Frequency Slope parameters for the same object maximum detection range. According to relevant docs, the detection range for the same object is proportional to the Sampole rate and inversely proportional to the Frequency Slope.
However, in real test, it was found that the Sampole rate increased to a certain value and that the decrease in Frequency Slope had a limited effect on the detection range. The results of the test are shown in the table below:
The customer is wondering why's this, could you help look into this case? Thanks.
Best Regards,
Cherry
Hi Cesar,
Thanks for your support.
What is the chirp Ramp End Time?
Ramp End Time is set to 6000U(60us) and the parameters are configured as shown in the figure below:
Thanks and regards,
Cherry
Hi,
Sorry for the delay,
The reason of these results is that the maximum range is limited by the performance of the antenna and the power.
So, for example, theoretically, the Range max should double when changing the slope from 4 to 2.
However in practice, this does not happen because we are limited by antenna/power performance.
thank you
Cesar
