BOOSTXL-TUSS4470: BOOSTXL-TUSS4470

Part Number: BOOSTXL-TUSS4470
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LAUNCHXL-F2800137, MSP430F5529, ENERGIA, TUSS4470,

Can F2800137 LaunchPad be used as a host board to interface with the TUSS44x0 EVM and control its operation? Can you help to give me an example? Thank you.

  • Hello Hongtao,

Thank you for posting to the sensors forum!

We have no tried using the LAUNCHXL-F2800137 along with the TUSS44x0EVM. I am sure the LAUNCHXL-F2800137 has the resources  capable of working with the EVM but I am not sure if the pinout of the TUSS44x0EVM aligns with the pins required by the TUSS EVM. If the pins required by LAUNCHXL-F2800137 with the TUSS44x0EVM dont align you may still be able to work with the device but you may need to jumper some signals. I know 3.3V, 5V, and GND are all located in the same place but I am not sure if the ADC for VOUT, GPIO for IOx pins, and SPI pins are in the same places required by the EVM.

Additionally, if there is plans to use the GUI for any testing, the GUI is not setup to work with the C2000 board and only setup to work with the MSP430F5529 LaunchPad.

We have an Energia library and code examples for the MSP430F5529 which can be downloaded here: https://www.ti.com/lit/zip/sldc023

I hope this helps and let me know if there are any other questions!

    Best,

    Isaac

  • Hi Isaac,

    Thank you for your response.

I tried to investigate the PIN layout of TUSS4470 EVM but it does not seem the there is a PIN map of the EVM. I am going to initial the EVM through LAUNCHXL-F2800137, enable the signal emitting with a pulse pattern and send back analog signal from EVM to LaunchPad. Would you like to which pins on EVM will be used in this situation?

I look forward receiving your reply. Thank you once again.

    Best regards,

    Hongtao

  • Hello Hongtao,

The pinout can be found in the BOOSTXL-TUSS4470 User's Guide under section 4.2.1 Schematics. The user's guide can be found in this link: www.ti.com/.../slau822a.pdf

I have included an image of the board pinout to the microcontroller below:
