TMP432: TMP432 floating pin at DXP2 and DXN2

Part Number: TMP432
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMP431

Hi Sir

We use DXP1/DXN1 in the design. If the TMP432's DXP2 and DXN2 are floating, what parameter or reult will be affected?

Thanks,

  • Hi Ryan,

I recommend using TMP431 instead. If you do not connect a junction to DXP2, ALERT pin will be asserted for channel 2 diode fault. You must disable channel 2 using the REN2 bit in the Configuration 2 register, and then clear any existing ALERT before normal operation of ALERT can proceed. If the ALERT pin is not used, then you can ignore these issues.

    thanks,
