TDC1000-C2000EVM: GUI Software - The VI is not executable

I see others have had this same issue and it seems to be long standing.

But I'm simply trying to start the GUI for this EVM and getting the error:

The VI is not executable. The full development version of LabVIEW is required to fix the errors

I'm on Windows 10 basically a fresh install of it on a new laptop, I don't have a full version of Labview.

I have tried all sorts of updates to NI software, including Labview runtime, VISA. My NI package manager now looks like this.

Please help

I managed to avoid the error message by running it in a Windows 7 32bit virtual machine! (64 bit did not work due to USB driver certificate issues)

However it still isn't communicating, see screenshot.

I installed the GUI https://www.ti.com/lit/zip/tidc731

and this usb driver https://www.ti.com/lit/zip/sllc428b

both as administrator, but still no luck.

So still need a solution for this.

Thanks for posting to the sensor forum!

The "The VI is not executable. The full development version of LabVIEW is required to fix the errors." message issue is something we have seen in the past, please refer to section 3.10 of this FAQ linked here for further guidance on how to fix this issue. This is operation for windows 10 so this will hopefully prevent you from having to use the Windows 7 virtual machine.

Thanks! I missed this in my googling, but it solved my problem.

I actually used the "turn windows features on/off" menu to enable .NET framework 3.5
