TMP709: Guidance Needed: Verifying TMP709 Functionality and Temperature Threshold During Mass Production

Part Number: TMP709
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMP390

Dear Team,

Our customer is planning to implement seven TMP709 units on their PCB board to monitor the temperature of the CPU and other chips.

They have a query about the verification process for the TMP709 units during the manufacturing stage. Specifically, they want to know how to validate the functioning of these units.

To give a specific example, if the temperature threshold for the CPU is set at 100 degrees Celsius using the TMP709, how should the customer verify this during mass production?

For instance, the initial configuration of the circuit sets the temperature at 100 degrees Celsius, corresponding to a resistance of 15K ohms. What testing procedures would they need to follow to confirm that the temperature threshold is correctly set and the TMP709 unit is working as expected?

Your guidance on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your support.

Best Regards,

Scott
