TMP75B-Q1: General call reset

Part Number: TMP75B-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMP100-Q1, TMP75-Q1

Hi team,

It is described in TMP100-Q1 datasheet as below that General call reset is required if supply voltage

is not sure to be <0.3V.

#1. Does it also apply for TMP75-Q1 device?

#2. If that is the case, how long does it take from receiving the command and the device is ready to access?

regards,

  • Hi Shinji,

This parameter is not described in the TMP75-Q1 datasheet so it does not apply. In general, a reset will occur when the part is power-cycled or a SW reset command is sent. If there is a concern of supply voltage still present when power cycling for any reason, then it is best practice to issue a reset command. The device should be ready to access right after reset, however the user will have to wait for the first conversion to be able to read from the temperature register.

    Best regards,

    Simon Rojas
