OPT3005: sensor for illuminance angle of 90°

HI Team,

I am looking for a ambient light sensor which has a high sensitivity for light coming from its side (90° incidence angle).

What would be our best solution here?

Hi Stefan,

I would recommend using a diffuser in the system in order to increase the responsivity of the sensor over angle. Even with a diffuser, the sensor will still have low responsivity at this angle unless a dome or lens is used to guide the light.
