Assistance Needed: Configuring AWR1843 for Outdoor Vehicle Integration
Hello Texas Support Team,
We are currently working on integrating the AWR1843 mmWave radar into our vehicle for research purposes. Our indoor tests have been successful, but we are encountering issues with false positives and limited detection range (maximum 15 meters) when testing in outdoor scenarios. While the vehicle is static we were able to detect upto the range of 60-70 metres.
We believe that these issues may be related to the current configuration file we are using. Given the outdoor environment and the integration with a moving vehicle, we need guidance on how to fine-tune the configuration to improve performance.
Below is the configuration file we are currently using:
We suspect that adjustments to the profile, chirp, and frame configurations may be necessary. Any detailed guidance or recommended configuration settings for outdoor use would be greatly appreciated.
Hi Sandeep,
You can refer to Medium Range Radar (ti.com) for your usecase. Download Radar Toolbox (ti.com) to explore the projects.
