Tool/software:
I have used the old online version of the LDC Design Tool in the past. Had no issues with it and was easy to use.
Using the new spreadsheet version:
For this project, I am considering the LDC1101. I downloaded the tool and unzipped the file. Opened the .xlsx file. I do not have a copy of Microsoft Excel desktop. I tried the online version of Excel and get the Error Message:
“Excel for the web does not support running or interacting with OLE Objects. To use OLE Objects, open this file with the desktop app.”
I cannot use the tool because I cannot read the instructions. I can figure out the data entry and view the results. However I do not see any way to download the footprint of the resultant coil solution. (I use Altium Designer).
I assume the instructions note how to do this.
Can you please send me a PDF of the instructions and tell me how to download the coil design footprint.
Please TI, no more embedded OLE Objects in your spreadsheet tools!
